The PADI computer program (Program for the Analysis of Industrial Dynamics) was designed to support research on the evolution of industrial organization of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. Follow the link to download a PowerPoint Presentation (88 Kb)

To this end, PADI provides the user with a data base on industrial and trade statistics as well as a software to analyze these data. 

The database refers to 26 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and contains production and trade variables. The time series covers 1970-1996. 

The information provided by the program refers to employment, salaries, gross production value, value added, investment, gross margin, Gross Domestic Product, manufactured exports and imports, total exports and imports, labor productivity and a variety of derived indicators.
