ECLAC MDG statistical Programme aims at improving data availability at regional level for monitoring country progress towards the fulfillment of the MDGs.

Generating and maintaining an on line regional MDG database will enable a better analyzing of the regional situation and the elaboration of progress reports needed to formulate public policies that help countries achieve the targets in 2015.

Action lines::

a. Supporting statistical analysis and modeling for the production of special studies and progress report
b. Periodical reporting of the regional progress towards the fulfillment of the Millennium Goals
c. Implementing and permanent updating of a regional MDG indicators database.
d. Defining and producing national MDG statistical profiles for Latin America and the Caribbean countries.
