WALIR is a collaborative program
coordinated by Wageningen University and the United
Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and
the Caribbean (UN/ECLAC) and is implemented in co-operation
with counterpart institutions in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador,
Peru, Mexico, France, The Netherlands and the USA.
The counterparts coordinate with a much broader group
of participant institutions at the international,
national and local levels. The Water Unit of the Netherland's
Ministry of Foreign Affairs funds the program.
