As part of eLAC2015 the eLAC2015 Indicators Commission was established. Its function is to identify indicators to track and monitor the progress of eLAC2015. The Commission is composed of the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, Dominican Republic and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, considering in representation of these countries: 1) the focal points of the ICT working group of the SCA-ECLAC, involving experts from the National Statistical Offices, and 2) the focal points of eLAC2015.

The Commission has the support of the Observatory for the Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean (OSILAC) and the ICT Working Group of the Statistical Conference of the Americas (SCA) of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).

A final proposal of indicators for eLAC2015 was approved by the Commission as a result of the workshop held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from November 21 to 22, 2011. The Commission will present the results of this work in the next preparatory meeting for the Fourth Ministerial Conference on the Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean, to be held in Ecuador in 2012.

The Indicators Commission is a unique collaboration space, where the countries of the region analyze and discuss the development and generation of ICT statistics between experts of National Statistics Offices (NSO) and representatives of government agencies responsible for promoting ICT policies.
