Selected Statistical Indicators of Caribbean Countries, Vol. XV, 2002

The United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Subregional Headquarters for the Caribbean and secretariat to the Caribbean Development and Cooperation Committee (CDCC), welcomes the opportunity to present to you the fifteenth volume of its Selected Statistical Indicators of Caribbean Countries (SSI).

While country coverage of the SSI is extensive, and the presentation of statistics comprehensive, tremendous effort and attention have gone into providing you, the user of Caribbean statistics, with more complete time series for each indicator for each country represented herein. Also, the coverage for some countries has been extended beyond what had previously been provided.

In keeping with our commitment to make these select comprehensive and reliable socio-economic statistics more accessible to the general public, we have continued to publish them on the website of this office at www.eclacpos.org. This newest volume will be fully updated and functional by 31 December 2002.

Last, but not least, we would like to officially thank all those national statistical authorities of the region that provided us with the requisite data to make this publication a success, and look forward to continued collaboration in the output of the SSI.




Statistical data provided for select Caribbean country under the following headings: National Accounts, National Accounts Expenditure, Balance of Payments, Exports, Imports, Trade Balance, Central Government Fiscal Operations and Retail Price Index. Other general data also provided. Typically, the time series ranges from 1991 to 2001.
