Twenty-fourth Session, Committee of the Whole

The Twenty-fourth Session of the Committee of the Whole will be held 5 June at United Nations Headquarters in New York City. This Ad Hoc Committee allows governments of its member states to meet between the official sessions of the Commission.

On this occasion, ECLAC Member States will consider the request submitted by the Republic of Korea for admission as a Member State of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Also at this meeting, ECLAC Executive Secretary José Luis Machinea will present a document prepared by ECLAC entitled "Cohesión Social: inclusión y sentido de pertenencia en América Latina y el Caribe" (Social Cohesion: Inclusion and a sense of belonging in Latin America and the Caribbean).
